Viña Maquis, nestled in Chile’s historic Colchagua Valley, boasts a winemaking tradition dating back to the 18th century, when it was under the aegis of Jesuit priests.
Acquired by the Hurtado family in 1916, the estate specialized on the production of fine wines, focusing on grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Carménère.
The construction of their modern winery in 2002 renewed the family’s commitment to the expression of this unique terroir surrounded by two rivers and its exceptional quality, with a focus on sustainable viticulture and artisan winemaking under the guidance of Jacques and Eric Boissenot.
Thanks to its unique microclimate and ideal soils, as well as a rich history marked by innovation and sustainability, this estate produces wines that captivate wine lovers all over the world, solidifying its reputation as a producer of some of Chile’s most prestigious and respected wines.
