Founded in 1987 by four visionaries – Aurelio Montes, Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand – the winery quickly became a pioneer in the export of high-end Chilean wines. Consolidating its reputation for excellence, they created the Montes Muse cuvée, a testament to their passion for the unique Alto Maipo terroir.
Perched in the foothills of the Andes at an altitude of around 460 metres, the vineyard benefits from rich alluvial terraces formed by millennia of sediment deposits from the Maipo River.
The practice of hand-picking, combined with the integration of Feng Shui principles in the winery located in the Apalta Valley, culminates in the distinctive elegance of this cuvée.
Today, Montes Wines delights a growing number of wine lovers in over 100 countries on five continents. With its range of varieties and unwavering commitment to quality, Montes exemplifies the essence of Chilean terroir and pays tribute to the muses who inspired this enduring heritage.
