Bodega Contador, established by Benjamín Romeo in 1995 in Rioja, Spain, is celebrated for its exceptional wines.
Beginning with a cave beneath the castle of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, the estate quickly gained prestige, especially after its 2003 and 2004 “Contador” cuvées received perfect scores of 100/100 from Robert Parker, a first for Spain.
Cultivating on 7 hectares divided into 80 plots, Bodega Contador favors organic methods and limited yields to accentuate quality.
Benjamín Romeo, with meticulous attention to every stage, from hand-picking to aging in selected French barrels, produces red and white wines distinguished by their finesse and complexity.
Bodega Contador is recognized worldwide for its excellence, symbolizing the very best of Spanish viticulture.
