Founded in 1989 and located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate in the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino region, the Poggio di Sotto estate benefits from an ideal microclimate thanks to the protection of Mount Amiata.

This 48-hectare vineyard, 20 of which are dedicated to vines, is entirely organically farmed and specializes in the Sangiovese grape variety.

The geological diversity of its soils, ranging from mineral-rich clays to shale, and the meticulous management of unique Sangiovese biotypes, produce wines of distinctive character.

Minimalist winemaking favors the authentic expression of terroir, with fermentation in oak and cement vats and aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, respecting the integrity of the fruit and the complexity of the wines.

Poggio di Sotto is famous for its Brunello di Montalcino, a wine that reflects elegance and longevity, and is produced only in exceptional vintages.
