Founded in 1904 by Kaiser Wilhelm II, Domäne Serrig has a distinguished legacy in Germany’s Saar region.

After being privatized in the late 1980s, the estate was bought by Markus Molitor in 2016, who focused on its 25-hectare vineyard on the steep, slate-rich slopes of Vogelsang.

This terroir is ideal for extending the ripening period of grapes, leading to wines that are flavorful yet moderate in alcohol.

Molitor has dedicated himself to producing traditional dry wines and subtly fruity Kabinett, using techniques such as selective hand-picking, natural fermentation, ageing in large oak barrels and prolonged maturation on the lees.

The two cuvées, Grosse Lage and Kabinett, were first released exclusively through La Place de Bordeaux with the 2020 vintage. The production of these two cuvées continues the estate’s tradition of making distinctive wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Saar region.
